FitTish Training
FitTish Training provides friendly, inclusive exercise sessions designed to help adults improve their strength, balance, mobility, flexibility, fitness and confidence. Sessions are suitable for a range of fitness levels and abilities and can be adapted to meet individual needs. I offer group sessions, 1-to-1 personal training and online exercise sessions, including chair-based exercise, Chair Flex & Stretch, Balance & Stability, Legs, Bums & Tums and Circuits. My chair-based sessions can be completed seated or using a chair for support, making exercise more accessible for people with reduced mobility, balance concerns or those who may feel less confident exercising. The aim of FitTish Training is to help people stay active, improve their quality of life, maintain their independence and feel more confident in everyday movement, in a friendly and supportive environment.
People can access FitTish Training through pre-booked group exercise sessions, 1-to-1 personal training or online sessions.
Group sessions are delivered at community venues in the local area, with sessions available for different abilities and fitness levels. Some sessions are chair-based and can be completed seated or using a chair for support.
People can book sessions directly with FitTish Training, and a health questionnaire is completed before participating so that exercises can be adapted safely and appropriately to individual needs.
Online sessions are delivered through Google Meet, allowing people to participate from home. These can be booked as a one-off session or regular weekly sessions.
FitTish Training helps people improve their strength, balance, mobility, flexibility, fitness and confidence, supporting them to stay active and maintain their independence.
Regular exercise can help people feel more confident with everyday activities, improve physical function and mobility, and support overall health and wellbeing. Balance and strength exercises can also help people feel more stable and confident when moving around.
The sessions provide a friendly, supportive and non-intimidating environment, helping people who may feel nervous about exercise or who have not exercised for some time to become more active at their own pace.
Chair-based and online sessions make exercise more accessible to people who may have reduced mobility, difficulty attending traditional fitness sessions or prefer exercising from home.
The overall aim is to help people remain active, improve their quality of life and continue living independently for as long as possible.
People can self-refer directly to FitTish Training, and a professional referral is not required.
Healthcare professionals, community organisations and other support services are also welcome to signpost or refer individuals who they feel may benefit from the sessions.
All participants are required to complete a health questionnaire before taking part. This helps ensure that the chosen session is suitable and that exercises can be adapted to individual needs where appropriate.
FitTish Training currently provides face-to-face sessions across Wootton, Kempston and Wixams, as well as surrounding local communities in Bedfordshire.
Online sessions are available, allowing people to access the service from their own home and potentially from a wider geographical area.
I am also happy to discuss working with local community groups, organisations and support services across Bedford and the surrounding Bedfordshire area.
